PhD student.

Supervised by Thomas Ezard and Richard Watson.

I started out in cell and molecular biology, specialising in adaptive immunity. Now, I’m using computational evolution to understand how plasticity influences the emergence of new species.

After a research master’s, I escaped the lab to work as a science communicator. I wrote features for magazines, translated science for a research charity, and managed outreach events. I also learnt to make videogames so that I could explain hard ideas to new audiences.

I am interested in:

  1. Developmental plasticity | Speciation | Evo-Devo | Evo-Eco

  2. Data visualisation | Science communication | Plain English

  3. Python | JavaScript | C# | Unity3D
